Investing in the Schoodic Community Made with Xara Maine Community Foundation The Schoodic Community Fund (SCF) is held by the Maine Community Foundation, a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. The SCF Advisory Committee recommends grants to the MCF Board, and SCF's independence in fundraising and awarding grants is respected by MCF. Maine Community Foundation: • Has fiduciary responsibility for the SCF • Accepts all gifts to the SCF • Manages the SCF endowment • Provides counseling to the SCF Board • Invests SCF monies for maximum return • Charges an annual charge of 1.1% of the value of the SCF Checks should be sent to: Karen Hartt, Maine Community Foundation 245 Main Street, Ellsworth, ME 04605-1613 and should note that the check is for “The Schoodic Community Fund”
